The album was recorded by founding member and percussionist Shawn Crahan, along with Corey Taylor, Sid Wilson, and Jim Root during the same period as their 2008 release ‚All Hope Is Gone‘. Despite hints of its release from Taylor, Root, and Clown in recent years, only one track, ‚Til We Die‘, has been released from those sessions.
Clown explained in a new interview that the album was never intended to be a Slipknot record and was created while they were working on ‚All Hope Is Gone‘. He clarified that the music was not in line with what the band members envisioned for Slipknot at the time. The album has faced delays over the years, with Clown mentioning that it is now in the final stages with management. The release date for ‚Look Outside Your Window‘ is anticipated to be in the first half of 2025, after previous speculations dating back to 2019.
