So you’ve taken the plunge into Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and you’re feeling overwhelmed by the intense multiplayer action. Don’t worry, you’re not alone. The game’s new omni-movement system and redesigned weapons have created a whole new level of challenge, as Olivia Rodrigo aptly put it, it’s brutal out there.
To help you navigate this new world, I reached out to two pro players – Ethan “Fifakill” Pink and Liam “Jukeyz” James – for their expert tips. And surprisingly, they were more than willing to share their knowledge.
Choose your weapon wisely
If you’re new to Call of Duty, stick with assault rifles or submachine guns for the fast-paced action of Black Ops 6. Jukeyz recommends the Model L assault rifle or the Jackal SMG, while Fifakill suggests the Kompakt 92 for its high fire rate and mobility. Experiment with different weapons to find what suits your playstyle best.
Customize your weapon
Utilize the Gunsmith feature to add attachments that reduce recoil and improve your aim. Focus on reducing horizontal recoil and consider using the Gunfighter wildcard to maximize your gun’s potential.
Boost your perks
Take advantage of the 20 perks available in Black Ops 6 to enhance your abilities. Experiment with different perk combinations to find what works best for your playstyle.
Level up fast
Earn XP quickly by using perks like BankRoll to unlock new items and scorestreaks. Utilize killstreaks to gain an advantage over your opponents.
Upgrade your gear
Enhance your gaming experience by using a dedicated monitor and headphones for better response time and audio clarity. Pay attention to in-game audio settings to improve your spatial awareness.
Work as a team
Remember that Call of Duty is a team game, so communicate with your teammates and strategize together. Focus on objectives and spawn points to gain a tactical advantage.
Master the minimap
Keep an eye on the minimap to stay aware of enemy movements and strategic locations. Familiarize yourself with the maps to make the most of this valuable tool.
