In recent years, the issue of food security has become a top priority as every individual deserves reliable access to affordable, nutritious food. The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs initiated The Independent Review into Labour Shortages in the Food Supply Chain in 2023, leading to the collaborative development of the Mmmake Your Mark campaign to inspire the next generation to consider a future in the food and drink industry.
BAGGI, a brand and design consultancy, designed the campaign to showcase the vibrant opportunities within the UK’s food and drink industry. Alongside addressing labor shortages, IGD and the Food & Drink Council are focusing on important issues like climate change, nutrition, and economic growth. The campaign aims to attract individuals to the industry by highlighting the pillars of purpose, possibilities, and progression within the sector.
To appeal to both industry professionals and new talent, the campaign features playful design elements and a consumer-focused approach. The name „Mmmake Your Mark“ was chosen to emphasize the opportunity for young talent to make a positive impact in the industry. BAGGI also created assets for various educational institutions to promote the sector to STEM graduates and other young talent. Through a comprehensive toolkit and suite of assets, the campaign aims to bring awareness and excitement to the food and drink industry.
