In a world full of creativity and design innovation, there are numerous exceptional design studios to admire. Some of these studios actively showcase their work, while others prefer to stay low-key. Unfortunately, some studios are unable to promote their creations due to client restrictions.
Instead of creating a subjective list of the „best“ design studios based on personal preferences, we decided to remain impartial and asked designers across the industry to vote for their favorite graphic design studios. The results are in, showcasing the most popular design studios and giving honorable mentions to those who narrowly missed the top 25.
Our intention in sharing these names is not to discredit any other studios but to praise the outstanding work of these top agencies and inspire others in the industry.
Pentagram, founded in London in 1972, is a global design studio operated by a group of partners who are leaders in their own right. Their ability to evolve while maintaining high creativity standards has earned them the top spot on our list. Recent projects include the rebranding of John Lewis, a collaboration with Pink Floyd, and an update for Paypal.
Located in New York, PORTO ROCHA was established by Brazilians Felipe Rocha and Leo Porto in 2019. The studio combines strategy with design to produce dynamic and culturally relevant work. Known for their visually stunning identities for tech, entertainment, and cultural brands such as Twitch, W Hotels, Vevo, and Robinhood, Mouthwash Studio’s forward-thinking and culturally aware approach keeps them at the forefront of the design world. Recent standout projects include a rebrand for Nike Run that rejuvenated Nike’s roots in running, and an identity refresh for Vevo that solidified its position as a music video network expert and artist champion.
Ragged Edge, established in London in 2007, has built a reputation for rebranding and strategic design by challenging the status quo. Recent projects like Wise, Papier, and Omlet showcase their ability to bring brand ideas to life and create impactful brand experiences.
Mouthwash Studio, founded in Los Angeles in 2019, and led by partners Abraham Campillo, Mackenzie Freemire, Ben Mingo, and Alex Tan, is known for its contemporary and future-forward design philosophy. Partnering with top brands and industry leaders in fashion, architecture, and technology, the studio is renowned for its comprehensive approach to generating new ideas and shaping experiences.
Some recent standout projects include the space they designed for Thom Browne at New York Fashion Week, attended by celebrities like Martha Stewart, Leon Bridges, and Addison Rae, an intuitive motion system for the Rimowa Design Prize, and their collaboration with Barcelona-based studio Mesura, transforming the architecture practice into a comprehensive model for creativity.

Established in Barcelona by Verònica Fuerte in 2007, Hey Studio is recognized for its all-female team and bold, clean designs featuring vibrant colors and geometric shapes. Their portfolio includes partnerships with tech giants like Google and Apple, as well as smaller creative endeavors.
In recent years, they have expanded their reach while maintaining their unique design style. Their work for Thalby travel guidebooks, which transformed the simple circle into a versatile branding element, was particularly impressive.

Founded by twin sisters Amy and Jennifer Hood, Hoodzpah is a forward-thinking brand identity studio based in Orange County, California. They infuse a playful and personal touch into each project, known for their relatable and distinctive designs rooted in authenticity.
From branding to type design, Hoodzpah’s work showcases a cheeky and whimsical style. Their bold and fearless approach has led to collaborations with clients across various industries, from tech to hospitality. Recent projects completed by Hoodzpah include designing a new brand identity for The California Classic NBA Summer League event, as well as packaging designs for a limited-edition Barbie collaboration with Nettie, a woman-owned and Cincinnati-based pickleball brand.
Hoodzpah has also worked on projects such as Disney Pixar titles and Nicolettos.
Founded in New York in 2019 by Jessica Walsh, formerly of Sagmeister & Walsh, &Walsh is known for its innovative and provocative approach to design. They are celebrated for their bold use of color, form, and typography, pushing the boundaries of branding and design. &Walsh has also launched a sister agency called Type of Feeling, focused on typography and type design.
Some of &Walsh’s notable projects include branding for Bombay 99, a rebrand for Plenty, and an identity for Stompy wine subscription service.
Interbrand, a leading brand consultancy with a history of iconic work, has been in the industry for five decades. Led by CEO Gonzalo Brujó, Interbrand has created enduring brand identities for companies like Bugatti, Bodyform, and GE Vernova. They are known for helping global businesses navigate changing markets successfully, as seen in their work with The LEGO Group to make play more accessible.
