Video games have always had incredible soundtracks that transcend their virtual origins. In recent years, top games like Stardew Valley, Final Fantasy, Elden Ring, and Death Stranding have inspired global concert tours. Spotify’s official Top Gaming Tracks playlist has been saved over 6.9 million times, showcasing the popularity of gaming music. Even ClassicFM has joined the movement with their weekly Next Level show, hosted by gaming YouTuber DanTDM.
“We’re merging two worlds and hopefully finding common ground,” he tells NME. The goal is to celebrate gaming music in all its glory, from orchestral masterpieces to retro 8-bit sounds. “Without music, games lose their impact. I want to show people the incredible composers creating amazing music for video games throughout history.“
To help you discover new soundtracks, DanTDM has selected 10 amazing tracks for your playlist – five for relaxation and five for motivation.
