Based in Denver, Colorado, Studio Mast is a small yet powerful design studio that draws inspiration from a variety of sources, including influential figures like Paul Rand and the Vignellis, as well as passionate clients, art, literature, and nature.
The studio’s design philosophy is centered around „simplicity with personality“, striving to create unique and personalized results that meet their clients‘ needs. With a team of only four people, Studio Mast focuses on projects involving building or redefining identities to ensure consistency.
While their client base is diverse, recent projects have included branding and art direction for Cadence, designs for Santa Fe Vintage, branding for La Vista Motel in Denver, and a partnership with Stripe, a global payment technology company.
One of their notable long-standing partnerships is with the Frasca Group, a restaurant group in Colorado. A standout project with the group was the transformation of Pizzeria Locale into Pizzeria Alberico, paying homage to the Alberico family’s pizza-making tradition.
Studio Mast worked closely with the restaurant team to develop an identity rooted in the Alberico family’s history, creating a design that honors tradition while looking towards the future. This approach was also applied to Osteria Alberico, the sister restaurant of Pizzeria Alberico, to maintain a distinct brand identity while staying connected to its counterpart.
