The lead single ‘It’s a Mirror’ from his latest album Glory, which saw a departure from the previous Ugly Season, still acknowledges the feeling of being broken down softly and slowly by a siren’s cry. However, despite a hint of weariness in the lush and vibrant tapestry of Glory, the album does not sacrifice catharsis, freedom, or glory. It remains tender-hearted and open-ended, offering a level of directness that feels new for Hadreas. The album, produced by Blake Mills and featuring a talented backing band, explores heavy subjects with an air of weightlessness. „My entire life… it’s fine,“ he sings on ‘No Front Teeth’.
