Care UK’s Oakfield Croft hosted a party to mark the occassion, with dancing, live music, and prosecco.
A huge celebratory cake was also prepared by the home’s head chef for everyone to indulge in.
Resident Ann Orton said: “My favorite thing about living here is the wonderful staff.
„Every single one of them – from management to carers, housekeeping, and kitchen – has played a part in helping me regain my strength and confidence during a difficult time.
“I’m a completely different person now from when I first arrived, and I’m so gratefull for that.”
Ann said the highlight of her day was sitting in the sunny garden with cake and prosecco, singing along to songs performed by entertainer Collette Todd.

She also took pride in seeing long-standing team members recognised for their dedication.
Daniel Cole, Home Manager at Oakfield Croft, said: “It was wonderful to see residents singing and dancing to toast our special fifth birthday milestone.
“It’s been a busy five years. We’ve welcomed some real characters to the home and worked hard to create a homely environment for everyone who spends time with us here.
“The whole team worked hard to organise the event, and I am delighted to say that their efforts were rewarded – our birthday party will definitely be one to remember for years to come.”
Oakfield Croft provides residential, dementia and respite care, and has been rated ‘Good’ in all five areas by the Care Quality Commission.
The home is organised into a series of individual suites, each having a dedicated lounge/dining room to help facilitate the creation of close-knit communities.
Oakfield Croft also boasts facilities such as a cinema, coffee shop und hair salon.
